Quang Hai Nguyen is a Vietnamese photographer living and working in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal. Their artistic practice explores cultural, emotional and historical distances felt by members of the dispersed Vietnamese community. By using photography as a practice of community engagement and memory-making, they gather and interrogate the impact of labour in the daily lives of the diaspora by relating personal stories to a broader complex history of migration, displacement and survival. They earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University. Their works have been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including the 5th edition of ARTCH (2022), the 27th Festival Accès Asie (2022), and the annual exhibition at FOFA Gallery (2023).
